FINALLY A TOPIC!

I finally decided on a topic... took long enough-- it is gender issues in professional sports. I came upon my topic while doing something I do everyday-- read articles on SI.com. This article was about John Amaechi, a former NBA player, who has recently come out of the closet. There was backlash from a former NBA star, Tim Hardaway who declared that he "hates gay people". This kind of ignorant thinking made me realize there is not enough in the media on gender issues in the NBA, WNBA, NFL, etc.
